And the winner for best online shop is...

OKI-NI. everything that you find in this online shop is good enough to make it on to this blog. Either the item is from a brand you've never heard of, limited edition or simply impossible to find in your local shops. Check it out for yourself.

Credit crunch? "Gap 1969 jeans"

Gap relaunched 1969, its "premium" denim line, as a basics offering—a smart move, given that basics are what the brand has always done best. A five-pocket pair was minimally adorned: no logos to mention, silver rivets, with a single blue rivet on the coin pocket as the only branding. The revelation was the material itself, a medium-weight raw denim with a white selvage edge, and the fits, which have been updated with more contemporary shapes. (The pair above is called the Skinny, though it bears noting that Gap skinny and Cheap Monday skinny are two different things entirely.) So how much do they cost? Get this: Less than $60.

Men's dress code for summer.

1) Your UNDERWEAR should only be seen in the changing room or in bed. Tuck it away, buy a belt.

2) Rush out to buy a DENIM SHIRT, there won't be enough to go round.

3) It's bye-bye to white SOCKS and good riddance!

4) Prudes (if there are any left) will rankle, but flesh-exposing SANDALS are in. To avoid making a stink: wash your paws, cut your nails, pumice stone your soles! Go Greek and Roman Empire. Brad Pitt in Troy and Russel Crowe in Gladiator were ahead of the trend.

5) Go easy on the tan. "LESS IS MORE" is just as true for the skin. Sunbathe in peace, steer clear of the big burn.

6) SHORTS will be short. Very short. Don't do baggy.

7) The message from the collections is make it LOOSE-FITTING. Let the wind ruffle through trousers, sweaters, t-shirts etc.

8) Yes, nurses are fantasy material but that's no reason to play doctor. White tunics, white linen trousers and spotless white flip-flops are perfect for an Alpine clinic, but they're a DEFINITE NO NO for a stroll around town.

Wet dream "Porsche 356 speedster"

Ferrari's and Lambo's are for people with bad taste. If you want to show a little class (and have a lot of money), then you ride a Porsche 356 Speedster. Most stylish car ever build.

Nice Scandinavian brand "Whyred"

I think everybody has woken up to the fact that not only beautiful people and vikings come from Sweden, but they also have a sixth sense for fashion. They've blessed us with brands like Acne and Filippa-k, but there's more where that came from.

Check out Swedish brand Whyred men's and women's collections. Whyred has been around for a while now, but is really breaking through outside Sweden at the moment.

Rob a bank! "vintage Rolex Explorer II"

I already own a good watch (Bell&Ross), but if you're looking for yours, this is a real contender. Especially for you collectors. But first you need to buy yourself a ski-mask, because you will have to rob a bank for this one.

This is the vintage Rolex Explorer II, Also known as the Steve McQueen Rolex. I did some research on the matter and It is not really known why it is named after the actor as he never wore one in his movies. In all the movies he appeared in, he wore a
Rolex Submariner with date, as for example in the movie: The Hunter released in 1980. It is believed that Steve wore this Rolex Explorer II off set in his spare time and that it's called the Steve McQueen Rolex because of that.

I came across this watch because someone I know wears one. He told me that he bought it for his son to wear when he is old enough, but we all know that this is a made up story to justify the amount of money that he spent to get this collectors item.

Very very cool watch!

Drop it like it's hot! "drop crotch jeans"

Girls, you all witnessed and experienced the harem pant trend. Now this trend has evolved to a lower crotch on women's jeans. Looks comfortable... So give your skinny jeans a break, they've earned it.

"Bra Boys, blood is thicker than water"

This easter weekend I watched the Bra Boys documentary. Even if you don't like surfing, I guarantee you that it is
impressive.

“Bra Boys” is a film about the cultural evolution of the inner-Sydney beachside suburb of Maroubra and the social struggle of its youth – the tattooed and much maligned surf community known as the Bra Boys. The story is narrated (voice over) by Australian actor Russell Crowe and is told through the eyes of members of the Bra Boys.

Get these for summer! "leather boat shoes"

Guys, do you want that summer look, but not go for the standard white sneaker?

Buy yourself a pair of leather boat shoes, it's a classic and it still works. I spotted them in a lot of designer and denim collections this season. (pictures top to bottom) Samsoe Samsoe, A.P.C, Band of Outsiders and my personal favourite; N.D.C made by hand. The N.D.C shoes will hurt your bank account with a whopping €200,-. What did you expect? They're made by hand!

Girls like bling "Sabrina Dehoff Jewelry"

Can't forget about the girls.

Laura tipped me about this German jewelry designer Sabrina Dehoff, she works with different materials like rope, leather, gold and silver. She makes the most beautiful jewelry for girls, but with a twist. The pictures above are from her "little helpers" collection.

Forget Victoria Secret! "Agent Provocateur"

This one's for the girls and the guys. If either of you want to surprise the other, this would be the perfect place to go; Agent Provocateur.

Agent Provocateur lingerie is an opulent range of inspirational creations, designed to intensify life’s pleasures and unlock your innermost desires. The elegant ranges, designed with both the boardroom and the boudoir in mind, ensure that women can be as sexy and professional as the mood takes them.

Enjoy.

Do you have a secret? "Post Secret"

This is a book that my girlfriend Laura bought. I think it is really funny and everyone who likes to hear somebody else's secrets will love it. This is how it works;

"You are invited to anonymously contribute a secret to a group art project. Your secret can be a regret, fear, bettrayal, desire, confession or childhood humiliation. Reveal
anything- as long as it is true and you have never shared it with anyone before. Be brief. Be legible. Be creative."

So what happened was that a lot of people sent their secret anonymously via a postcard to the author (Frank Warren) and he posted the best ones in this book.
Above you find a little sample.

Birthday gift from mom "Jordan Retro 3, 2007"

So next season "double breasted blazer"

I know it's not even summer yet, but for all you cats who want to be ahead of the pack at all times. This one's for you. Don't call it a comeback, but the double breasted blazer is cool again. Featured in all top collections (pics top to bottom) Band of Outsiders, Thom Browne and Lanvin.

If you want to avoid looking like a banker or country club member, make sure that your blazer is very slim and short. Dress it down with a pair of jeans or cotton slacks with converse.
For everybody who can't wait till next winter, there are a few double breasted blazers out now for the spring/summer season made of washed cotton or denim, like the one featured in the last picture. That's the one from Acne x Lanvin.

worn jeans "Evisu (10 years old)"

This Evisu jean is approximately 10 years old and was bought in raw condition. At first it belonged to a friend of mine who wore it a lot and more or less only took it off when he went to bed. Finally I persuaded him to sell it to me and now it is in the state as you see in the pictures above. The painted seagulls on the back pocket are almost faded all the way off from wearing. Lesson learned from this; love your jeans and they will love you back.
